The "Southern Fried" Half Marathon
Southern Hospitality at its finest! The second half of the Outer Banks Marathon course will Wow you in 2016! The Southern Fried Half Marathon will begin in Nags Head, near the largest sand dune on the East Coast at Jockey’s Ridge State Park; cross the beautiful Washington-Baum Bridge, and finish in the waterfront village of Manteo. Yes, it's "Fried" but in a fun, festive way, get your Southern Fried Sweet Taters at the Finish!

Beat the bridge at 1:30PM -
The bridge closes to runners at 1:30PM. Bridge begins at Mile 9.
Mandatory Wave Starts placed by estimated Finish time. 1st wave for Elites and Competitors.

Age requirement - runner must be 13 years old on day of the event.

Late Registration may be available at the runner's Expo, if the course limits have not been met. There is no day of race registration.
*Late registration event shirts are in limited supply and will be available for pick up at the post race party in downtown Manteo at the Retail area. Present your t-shirt bib tag.
There are no transfers after online registration closes.
There are no deferrals to the following year.
Registration refunds are not available.
Person to person bib transfers are not allowed. Do not give, sell or transfer your bib to another person.
No one is allowed on any part the race route with out a registered race bib. This includes bikers and strollers.
